NVA Vending Machine Locations
NVA - the short name for Northern Virginia is maybe the best location on the east coast of the United States for placement of vending machines - for new operators or for vendors expanding their routes.
There are a lot of high income residents in NVA. Forbes magazine included six northern Virginia counties among the country's twenty highest in median family income. Now that's a lot of money out there that gets spent on business. All types of businesses benefit from this - including the vending machine business.
I remember in the late 1980s when northern Virginia had a lot more open spaces - but even then was a pretty high income area. Domino's Pizza came into the area and built store after store. A man named Hall transformed NVA into the highest store sales area in the entire country. At about the same time, Little Caesar Pizza built their first stores in Fairfax - Manassas - Woodbridge - Tysons Corner - Falls Church - Dumfries and other growing communities in NVA. According to Jerry Cameron who headed up the Little Caesar NVA effort - "Northern Virginia has extraordinary potential nearly everywhere you can look. The customer base is growing, loves convenience and has the income to pay for it. If you present a good product and give the customer the best possible service - exceeding their expectations - your sales will grow as fast as you want."
The same is true today. NVA has the same characteristics as in the 1980s - maybe even stronger. I know that Pizza is a little different than a vending machine business - but there are striking similarities as well. Both try to sell a low-priced product to a diverse customer base. Both tend to be a little immune from economic downturns. Both Domino's and Little Caesar produce quality, economical and local products. Fast food pizza and vending machines both stress convenience. And without great service - having the kind of product the customer wants - in a convenient location - at a reasonable price - customer sales will go away. But with hard work - profits can be sky high.
So where do you want your vending route ? Fredericksburg ? How about Herndon ? Fairfax or Manassas ? It is your choice - they all are great choices ! I know these areas well. I've travelled the backroads and visited the restaurants and shops that house many types of vending machines. Alexandria or Arlington ? Yes, closer to the urban center works too. There are very few cities in NVA that I would have much trouble securing great locations for.
Take a look at NVA and what it offers:
NVA is part of one of the largest metropolitan areas in the United States - the Washington DC - Baltimore area.
NVA is home to over 1 million people. And a good share of them are high income folks.
NVA has lots of military bases and families. This means lots of younger folks often with youngsters. Northern Virginia also is where many students live. Commutes to George Washington, Georgetown and other schools occur daily in NVA.
Vending Machine route locations in Alexandria, Fairfax, Manassas Park and any number of promising venues can be located. I am talking about high sales potential. I am talking about high profit potential.
NVA has thousands of professionals and government employees working in the area. The jobs are a little less prone to job losses in hard times. And they are a little more able to pay for the convenience of a handy vending machine.
Northern Virginia
has tons of traffic from the Interstate 95 corridor to the multitude of highways and roads meshing the populous regions of NVA. People are increasingly moving west along Interstate 66. New areas mean new vending opportunities. Past Fairfax and Manassas are the communities of Gainesville and Warrenton as you move closer to Interstate 81 which runs through western NVA.
Leisurely drives are commonplace in NVA. Once you get off the high-peed, high traffic I-95 (with its famous speed traps northbound into DC) - you can enjoy the countryside and the generally beautiful weather that NVA offers. Short winters are the norm. By mid-March cherry blossom season arrives, Tourism picks up. And vending machine activity and profits pick up as well.
Northern Virginia is a great area for vending!
NVA vending machine possibilities -
Lots of places where people live - going north from Fredericksburg there is Dumfries and Quantico (home of Dick Marcinko, founder of the Navy's SealTeam 6). Woodbridge - Lorton and Springfield are big towns moving toward the DC Beltway. Clinton and Dunkirk are out-of-the-way cities to the east. And Manassas and Fairfax as you stretch to the west. Arlington and Alexandria represent great vending machine locations as does the Dulles Airport region. Just tell me where you want to locate or grow your vending machine business - I am ready to help you reap the sales and profits that your efforts deserve.
