Virginia Vending Machine Locations
Virginia is a great state for new vending machine companies!
I’m aware that others in the vending locating business have said that Virginia is a hard state to set up or expand a vending business. But that has not been my experience.
Let’s take a look at the different areas of the state:
Northern Virginia -
This is the best area in VA. From the WW Bridge to Loudon County and south to Lorton you can choose any type of vending machine and set up a route of 200 locations with the same machine.
But since this large area has different demographics, the type of vending machine you select will point to establishing your route in a certain section of NVA..
For example, cranes and weight machines will work well in the Route 1 corridor from the beltway to Dumfries. But I would not place them west of Fairfax County.

Fredericksburg -
This area is growing so quickly. You not only set up your route here, you can grow as the county does. The census bureau is predicting the county will grow to a million residents within 20 years.
Like NVA, I can set up a route for any type of vending machine here.
Just a great area for vending!
Metro Richmond -
Might be the toughest area in Virginia, but still is OK.
There’s two markets here – the city and suburbs. To be successful, you will have to use different types of vending machines in each market.

Southwest Virginia -
A good area. If you want to build a large route here, you will have to be in different cities. If your goal is 20-30 machines, I could set you up in one area.
I can find locations for any type of vending machine in this part of the state.
Hampton Roads Area -
Just a great area!
You can have a lot of success here. From Williamsburg to the beaches, I enjoy working in this area. Business people are receptive and there’s lots of traffic.
This area is diverse enough that it will support any type of vending machine, and large enough that you can build a large route, if that’s your goal.
