Philadelphia along with the Reading area is by far the best location in Pennsylvania for new vendors. They have everything to offer for someone starting out in the vending machine business. Lots of people. Tourists galore! Nice highways including the interstates. Historic landmarks. Fun spots for the kids like Sesame Place. And gardens, museums and night spots for the adults. Married or single - young or old - Philly offers you the best in opportunity.
Philadelphia as one of the nations largest cities has professional sports teams. The Phillies, 76ers, Eagles and Flyers all add to the excitement of the city throughout the year in Philadelphia.
No matter what type of vending machine you own and want to find a spot for - Philadelphia has a nice location for you. The suburbs continue to expand, and the highway and road system makes the commutes possible. If you place a snack or soda vending machine you will likely be successful. Video Poker, phone calling cards, ice cream - they are all in demand, too.
Philadelphia and Bucks County
Just a great area!

If you establish your route in the city, you have different sections you can set up in. All offer advantages and disadvantages. Let's take a quick look at the different sections of Philly:
West Philadelphia
Most vendors do not want to be in this area. I understand their reasons. But this is a great area for POS vending. And bulk. An advantage of having a route here is there is so much opportunity.
South Philadelphia
A great area, although I would not recommend cranes or POS. You could get a better return for these vending services in other areas of Philly.
Philadelphia International Airport
Another great area! Every type of vending machine would work here.
Northeast Philly
I'll divide this area between the Latino area and the Puerto Rican area. Most vendors are more comfortable in the Latino neighborhoods east of Broad Street and north of Temple University. And this is a great area. But don't overlook going to the Puerto Rican neighborhoods. The culture there is different, but everyone is friendly and helpful. Plus you can make a lot of money vending there.
North Philadelphia
Any type of vending machine will work here. Just another great area!
