Cleveland Vending Machine Locations
Cleveland Ohio is located along the shores of Lake Erie - east of Toledo - and about 60 miles west of Pennsylvania. Its metropolitan area is the largest in Ohio with a population of around 2,251,000 people. While the city itself has but 478,000 - it still ranks as the second largest Ohio city behind Columbus. And it is the 33rd biggest city in America.
Cleveland has been fortunate to have had some of the greatest athletes in the world play on their sports teams. I can recall Jim Brown - in my opinion, the greatest running back in the history of the NFL - playing for the old Cleveland Browns before they moved. And one of the most exciting hitters in my memory played for the Cleveland Indians before being traded to the Tigers - Rocky Colavito. I still rooted for him after he went to Detroit - and Cleveland went down the tubes for many years in baseball. Now the Cleveland Cavaliers have Lebron James who threatens to become the premier basketball star in the NBA. But for my money the most talented athlete, who is also one of the nicest men in the world is Bob Feller. Rapid Robert is about 90 years old now. I met him about 45 years ago, after his playing career was over. And I've never met a finer gentleman. Amazing to me - he has always kept his humble roots of Van Meter Iowa. He has lived in the same house near Cleveland since the late 1940s. He was a hero during World War II, and elected to Baseball's Hall of Fame. He is truly a great American hero, not to mention that he is also one of mine.
Cleveland has many of the issues facing America's urban areas. But Cleveland has addressed many of them with great success. Its downtown area has been renewed. There are unique night spots and a long shore on the Lake Erie waterfront. A new stadium was built for the Cleveland Indians, who have become pretty much an annual force in baseball's American League Central division. A new Browns team has emerged in football. The Cavaliers should be a force for years to come. And the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is a place you really have to visit. Kind of like music's version of Cooperstown, with a little less atmosphere and tradition - but a lot more action and current history.
Cleveland has a lot of different styles of architecture in its buildings. The City Hall and the Cuyahoga County Courthouse join the Cleveland Public Library and the Public Auditorium in surrounding an open mall area. These buildings have the look of some of those ancient Greek buildings you see in the history books. The Terminal Building was built around 1930 and used to be the tallest building between Chicago and New York City until about 10 years ago. It has more of a French look, which was popular when it was constructed. Now there are two new skyscrapers - the Key Tower and the BP Building which have a more modern appearance. Interesting downtown ! One place to see if you get to Cleveland is the Old Stone Church. It's a beautiful church with tall spires - dwarfed by some of the taller more modern structures.

Parma
When it comes to the Cleveland area, in general - the closer you get to the interstates - the more potential vending machine locations you can find. The city itself is great. But the outlying areas are even better. Parma is one of those ares. Parma is not a very diverse area. Over 95% of the population is white. Parma is the largest Cleveland suburb with about 85,000. The population is holding fairly steady, maybe a slight decline. It is situated between I-480 and I-80. Remember that I-80 brings a flood of travellers across the country - and Cleveland is a key location between Chicago and Toledo to the west - with Pittsburgh and New York City on the east. Lots of traffic - lots of potential vending machine customers.
Parma is where Chef Boyardee died in 1985. It is also where in the 2008 presidential campaign Hillary Clinton stopped for lunch at Grace's Grill. Fortunately I was working on some other locations those days and missed these events. Seriously though, Parma can be a great location for your vending machine route. Call me for some ideas.
Lakewood
With a population of around 56,000 folks - Lakewood is the second largest suburb of Cleveland. It is located on the Lake Erie waterfront just west of Cleveland. There are many highrise buildings in Lakewood centered around two areas - the Gold Coast and the Downtown area. One of the interesting areas for vending machine route operations is The Edge. This is an area on the east side of Lakewood - almost a part of Cleveland . There are lots of night spots, pubs, concert locations and taverns here. You have to know your way around town to know the Hot Spots for placement of your vending machines. And not only that - you must know which TYPE of vending machine will work there.
That is where Vendor Locators can help you. We KNOW the vending machine placement business. We know what kinds of vending machines work where. We know the neighborhoods and types of establishments where vending machines are housed or needed. We know the cities - like Cleveland - Lakewood and Parma. And we are dedicated to finding you the most profitable vending machine locations out there.
